FIND A WARRIORS FOR WOMEN CLASS NEAR YOU

Calling all yoga teachers ahead of this International Women’s Day! Organise your own WARRIORS FOR WOMEN yoga class on 8th March and help to raise vital awareness and funds for Ourmala, the socially conscious yoga charity helping refugees and asylum seekers.

Warriors for Women is the yoga community helping women to move on with their lives. It is also a celebration of yoga itself; of the branches and blossoms that grow as our roots deepen in practice and the power yoga gives us to make positive change – TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY – when our hearts, heads and actions align.

You don’t have to own your own yoga studio, or even work at one. Be creative and resourceful, and devise your own Warriors for Women setting; use your office space to teach a lunchtime class, or push the sofas aside in your living room and invite your friends over. Bring people together and have fun perfecting your Virabhadrasana 1, 2 and 3 – and even invent a 4 – whilst raising money for an important cause and celebrating an awesome day.

You have a whole month to start planning; International Women’s Day is exactly 1 MONTH AWAY. Please get in touch with us for any advice or help on planning your class. We suggest having a donation bowl with a suggested minimum donation of £10.

You can transfer the money you raise for us online here.

The money you raise will help some of the most marginalised, vulnerable members of our society. Many of these women have experienced torture and sexual violence in conflict. These women tell us that the yoga classes Ourmala offers help to relieve their pain and anxiety, helps them to sleep and start to restore self-esteem and hope, as well as a much-needed sense of belonging in a safe community.

Stand strong, together, and celebrate International Women’s Day with Warriors for Women – helping people who are trying to rebuild their difficult and disrupted lives in the process. #Warriorsforwomen
